Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. CRS Philippines, established in 1945, is the longest running, continuous CRS country program in the world with extensive programming in emergency response, early recovery and disaster risk reduction, climate resilience and peace governance. The Philippines country program has over 70 staff members in Manila, Davao, and Cotabato City. CRS Philippines is committed to collaborating with our strong network of church partners, national and subnational government agencies and secular NGOs throughout the country.

As a member of the Cotabato project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities of three projects (LDS Project HOPE: Healthy, Open, Peace‑Empowered Schools in BARMM–SGA; LDS Women Advancing Sustainable Livelihood and Economic Empowerment in the Bangsamoro and the Peace Accords Matrix Mindanao)  in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
  • Monitor and report on any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist project stakeholders in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
  • Support accountability through coordinating project monitoring and evaluation activities and assisting project stakeholders in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with key CRS project staff to support preparation of reports per established reporting schedule. 
  • Collect information on local capacity needs and technical assistance needs of key community, school and local government partners and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
  • Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to the area 
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project support.  
  • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
  • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
  • Experience in the field of peacebuilding, peace education, WASH, gender and development and for an NGO would be a plus.
  • Proficient in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment
  • Experience in field data collection, consolidation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members
  • Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
  • Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented
