Construction Inspection - Southeast Indiana

• →Familiar with company, client, government and industry standards.
• →Follows verbal and written instructions
• →Observes and monitors construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals.
• →Records field observations and determines acceptability of construction work performed.
• →Monitors contractor’s quality control and verifies construction conforms to contractor’s quality control plan.
• →Makes field measurements, computations and records of acceptable work.
• →Prepares reports outlining the work performed and the quality of completed and acceptable for payment. Calculates the quantity of acceptable completed work for payment.
• →Reviews and verifies contractor’s payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.
• →Coordinates construction activities with owner and assists Project Manager with client on construction related issues.
• →Prepares and maintains project records in accordance with the company’s, client’s, and government’s standards.
• →Coordinates or conducts quality assurance testing, inspections and surveys.
• →Other related duties, as assigned.

• High School Diploma required
• INDOT certified technician, or Construction/Civil Engineering degree required.

• A minimum of 2 years continuous experience in the inspection of federally and locally funded transportation projects.
• Knowledge of INDOT standard and procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Understands and follows company standards, demonstrates knowledge of construction techniques, and assists mid to senior level team members with complex projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong mathematics skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable record
