Responsibilities

  • →Lead multidisciplinary teams through improvement projects both as an individual contributor and project manager.
  • →Support the development of capacity planning software tools.
  • →Develop “what if” capacity models for future customer demand forecasting and decision making.
  • →Aggregate data, scrub and analyze from multiple systems and equipment sources.
  • →Support development of data pipelines for improving automation of data collection and warehousing.
  • →Value stream map existing processes and drive improvement actions to improve efficiency.
  • →Perform factory simulations to analyze potential improvement opportunities.
  • →Identify factory bottlenecks and partner with area stakeholders to resolve roadblocks with robust future proofed solutions.
  • →Own the factory layout design, model future improvements and keep current with physical layout.
  • →Support development of actionable production metrics and dashboards for production work centers.
  • →Execute continuous improvement projects that target the highest business impacts.
  • →Model material flow and implement new systems for movement, storage, staging and tracking.
  • →Create visual factory standards and own factory 5S program.
  • →Perform time studies and data analysis to support manufacturing process improvements.
  • →Identify and proactively pursue new opportunities within the business to drive innovation and efficiency gains.

Requirements

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial, Operations Research, Manufacturing or related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
  • Customer service orientated (internal and external) with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • US Citizen.

 

  • 2+ years experience working with manufacturing data and operational metrics.
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing large scale improvements in warehouse and manufacturing settings.
  • Experience optimizing facility layouts for operational efficiencies.
  • High level of proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
  • Proficient with SQL databases, Python, JMP or Minitab and Power BI.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar floor plan design tools.
  • Experience in an ISO9001 / AS9100 / ISO13485 certified quality management system.
  • Understanding of the underlying function of business systems such as MES, PLM, ERP, etc.
  • Existing Secret level clearance or ability and willingness to obtain clearance.
