Overview
The Estimation & ITB Qualification Assistant supports the estimator by preparing basic takeoffs, organizing bid documents and ensuring all ITBs are reviewed and qualified on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic quantity identification (fence lengths, gate counts, scope breakdowns).
- Highlight relevant plan sheets, details, and material sections.
- Prepare pre-estimation input sheets and checklists.
- Assist in drafting RFQs for vendor pricing when needed.
- Review incoming ITBs and identify fencing scope.
- Update and maintain the ITB Tracker (status, deadlines, notes).
- Download, label, and organize drawings, specs, and addenda.
- Request missing documents or clarifications from general contractors.
- Ensure the estimator always has the latest documents.
- BS Civil Engineering (required or strongly preferred).
- Basic ability to read construction drawings (training can be provided).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and cloud storage.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
