About the Role

~3 min read

Veo is scaling fast, and our spend on software and equipment has grown faster than the supporting structure has. We're hiring a Procurement & Vendor Manager to bring that under control. Your first and most important mandate is our software (SaaS) license spend: understanding what we pay for, our company needs, cutting what we don't use, and negotiating the remaining contract terms. You'll also own how we buy office hardware.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You'll own procurement end-to-end yourself, building the process as much as running it, and working closely with teams across IT, Finance, and the wider business.

Software licenses & SaaS spend (primary focus)

•    Audit and map current software license spend across the company, incl. who owns what, what's actually used, and where we're paying for redundant or dormant licenses.

•    Clean up and rationalize the portfolio: eliminate shelfware, consolidate overlapping tools, and right-size seat counts.

•    Build and maintain a renewals calendar so no contract auto-renews without review.

•    Negotiate renewals and new contracts to reduce cost and improve terms.

•    Establish lightweight software asset management (SAM) practices and reporting to keep spend visible going forward.

•    Own purchasing of office hardware, incl. laptops, peripherals, AV, and related equipment.

•    Source vendors, negotiate pricing and framework agreements, and standardize what we buy where it makes sense.

•    Lead commercial negotiations on contracts, renewals, and new vendor deals.

•    Manage supplier relationships and act as the internal point of contact for procurement.

•    Partner closely with IT, Finance, and department heads to align buying with real needs and budget.

•    A complete, accurate picture of current software spend.

•    Measurable savings from eliminated/renegotiated licenses.

•    A functioning renewals process that prevents surprise auto-renewals.

•    Clear, repeatable ways of buying software and hardware that scale with the company.

•    Solid procurement/vendor management experience, ideally with a strong focus on SaaS and software licensing.

•    A track record of finding and delivering cost savings: You know how to read a contract and where the levers are.

•    A confident, commercially sharp negotiator.

•    Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, less-structured environment and building processes from the ground up.

•    Strong stakeholder skills and able to work across IT, Finance, and the business, and to influence without direct authority.

•    Experience with software asset management (SAM) tools or spend-management platforms.

•    Familiarity with a scaling tech / SaaS company environment.
