Class 1 and 3 Operators - Full Time Rotational 24/16 and 14/7 Opportunities

Vertex is growing, and we're looking for Class 1 and 3 Operators with experience operating Semi-Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks to join our Fort McMurray, Alberta team. We're seeking local candidates from the Fort McMurray area. Job Description 

We are currently looking for Full Time Class 1 and 3 Operators with Semi-Vac, Combo-Vac, Straight-Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Truck experience to join our team! We are looking for Operators who are looking for full time work and 24/16 or 14/7 rotational schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
• Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
• Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

Candidate Qualifications 

• Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
• Clean commercial drivers abstract
• Valid Class 1 drivers license with 3-5 years of experience with Semi Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks

        OR

• Valid Class 3 drivers license with 3-5 years of experience with Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks

• ELD logbook experience 
• Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets 
  
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned 
• Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary

Assets to Have 

• Class 1 Super B Experience 
• Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
