Presales CAD Engineer

• →Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents
• →Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team
• →Concept design of data center architecture and equipment
• →Understanding of relevant architectural and structural codes and standards
• →CAD Modeling 
• →Understanding passive fire protection design and requirements
• →Coordination with other technical disciplines (HVAC, electrical, controls, fire protection)
• →Dimensioning and specification of structural and architectural parts of the modular building 
• →Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers
• →Communication with customers in order to propose the best solution
• →Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers 
• →Providing design documents
• →Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions
• →Support SA and sales team
• →Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Structural and Mechanical components to an end-customer deployment   

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of design experience
• Proficient in structural and mechanical system design including end user interface applications
• Strong CAD capabilities including the ability to represent site, structural and system layouts, as well as custom designs and associated pre-fabricated data center infrastructure systems
• Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components to an end-customer deployment 
• Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment 
• PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD
• Key skills are- CAD 2D design experience is a must.  Revit or any 3D modelling software is a preference. Experience in civil/construction/architecture (traditional or modular) is preferred.
