The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the Quality Control inspection team across all production and fabrication lines. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position oversees approximately 10 QC Technicians performing mechanical, incoming, electrical and thermal inspections. The QC Supervisor ensures inspection activities are carried out consistently, efficiently, and in compliance with Quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of the QC inspection team
- →Oversee mechanical, incoming, electrical and thermal inspection activities across production and fabrication lines
- →Review and approve inspection records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of Quality documentation
- →Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
- →Identify training needs and ensure QC Technicians are competent in inspection methods, tools, and standards
- →Escalate Quality defects, non-conformances, and trends to the Quality Manager with supporting data
- →Ensure calibration schedules for testing and measurement equipment are maintained
- →Drive standardisation of inspection processes and work instructions across all inspection types
- →Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities (e.g., 8D)
- →Collaborate with production, engineering, and project teams to resolve quality issues on the floor
- →Track and report key QC metrics (e.g., inspection pass rates, non-conformance trends, turnaround times)
- →Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to Quality objectives
- →Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
- English 90%
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with electrical and thermal testing and inspection methods
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and inspection techniques
- Experience with incoming inspection processes and supplier quality coordination
- Familiarity with Switchgear, UPS, CRAC units, STS, or busbar systems
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Proficiency in data analysis and QC reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Positive mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills including email, collaboration tools, Excel, Word, and file management
