Sr. Infrastructure Engineer
Quick Summary
Architect and evolve highly available, fault tolerant infrastructure that powers our distributed systems and global platform.
-
Tooling as Leverage for Impact: We value speed and impact. To ensure nothing slows you down, we arm you with a highly consistent modern stack (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes, Java, TypeScript, Python) and world-class AI-augmented SDLC tooling. We strip away the friction so you can focus on building simple things that work, pushing boundaries, and delivering value faster.
-
Impact Over Input: Scaling global payments infrastructure requires individuals who take personal ownership of outcomes from day one. We look for builders who combine high agency with deep strategic alignment; channeling their urgency and relentless iteration into what matters most. Leading from the front means multiplying the impact of those around you so we win collectively.
-
Mission-Critical Accountability: We power payments infrastructure for global market leaders, making system trust and integrity our core deliverable. We don't treat compliance (PCI, SOC2, ISO27001), security patching, and platform maintenance as administrative overhead—we engineer them with first-class product discipline. We apply the same rigor, roadmap thinking, and speed to system health as we do to new features. In high-scale payments, reliability isn't background work; it is our product.

~2 min read- →Build and scale critical infrastructure: Architect and evolve highly available, fault tolerant infrastructure that powers our distributed systems and global platform.
- →Own reliability when it matters most: Lead incident response and root cause analysis, drive fast resolution, and turn every incident into an opportunity to make our systems stronger.
- →Automate everything you can: Build intelligent monitoring, alerting, and automated healing systems that keep our infrastructure healthy, reduce toil, and minimize downtime.
- →Push performance and scale: Identify bottlenecks, tune systems, and develop capacity and scaling strategies that keep our platform fast and reliable as workloads grow.
- →Partner across engineering: Work closely with software engineers and platform teams to build more reliable systems and continuously improve how we ship.
- →Raise the engineering bar: Champion better deployment practices, performance testing, automation, and SRE principles across the organization.
- →Lead through technical influence: Mentor engineers, shape infrastructure strategy, and help establish technical standards and best practices that scale across the organization.
- →Bring your ideas: We want engineers who are curious, proactive, and willing to challenge assumptions. Your ideas and feedback will directly influence how we build a world class product.
- →Build with a great team: We believe in transparency, collaboration, grit, and humility, and in doing whatever it takes to do the right thing for our customers and our company. And yes, we believe you should have some fun along the way.
- Own production reliability: Participate in on-call rotations for the services you own and operate, troubleshoot production issues, and help make those systems more reliable over time.
- Bring deep infrastructure expertise: Proven experience in Infrastructure or SRE roles supporting complex, large scale production environments.
- Know AWS and infrastructure as code: Deep AWS experience and strong hands-on expertise with Terraform and infrastructure as code. Experience with CloudFormation, CDK, or similar tools is a plus.
- Build cloud native systems: Deep experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and cloud-native architecture, with strong familiarity across CI/CD, GitOps, APIs, authentication and authorization, Kafka/MSK, and AWS services.
- Automate with code: Comfortable using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages to automate infrastructure and eliminate operational toil.
- Obsess over observability: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to understand system health, performance, and reliability.
- Know databases: Database expertise is a strong plus, particularly experience operating and scaling production databases.
- Lead through collaboration: Partner across engineering teams, drive reliability initiatives, mentor others, and communicate clearly.
- Be ready when things break: Bring strong incident management and disaster recovery practices, and use every incident to improve the resilience of our systems.
- Experience with tokenization, payment processing, cryptology, or security products
- BA/BS degree
- A knack for out-of-the-box thinking that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
