Property Inspector

Vision Government Solutions is looking for Maine-based Property Inspectors (aka: Data Collectors) to join our Appraisal Services team. Vision performs property revaluation and appraisal services on behalf of municipalities throughout the U.S. The Property Inspector is a highly visible member of the appraisal team, responsible for inspecting, verifying, and recording details of commercial and residential properties required for property valuation. This is a full-time position, with potential for long-term career growth for successful candidates.  

Responsibilities

• Accurately gather and record specific data points relevant for property valuation
• Serve as public-facing representative of the appraisal team, always maintaining professional communication and appearance
• Submit regular reports to track progress against assigned work
• Measure and inspect interior and exterior of property

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to/from assigned work location
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Bending, stretching, and kneeling may be required during property inspections
• Ability to climb stairs and carry 5-10 lbs of equipment
• Comfort working outdoors for extended periods of time, in all seasons/weather
• Effective verbal communication; the ability to put at ease members of the public who ask questions regarding a property visit
• Ability to work flexible hours during 40-hour work week
• Valid driver’s license
• Real estate training a plus, but not required
• Mail carrier or delivery experience a plus!
