As a Field Operations Manager at Via, you will lead the day-to-day operations of two on-demand mobility services in the Dingolfing-Landau and Mühldorf districts. You’ll ensure passengers are reliably transported while driving continuous improvements and operational excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of rural mobility, work closely with drivers and local teams, and make a tangible impact on communities that rely on efficient, reliable public transport.
Responsibilities

- →Take full ownership of day-to-day service delivery, ensuring passengers are reliably transported while closely monitoring key performance metrics and operational outcomes.
- →Lead and develop your team by managing onboarding, mentoring drivers, and ensuring efficient shift planning that keeps services running smoothly.
- →Partner closely with Via’s central operations teams to identify opportunities to improve service quality and implement process optimization initiatives.
- →Bring your ideas and operational expertise to continuously enhance the rider and driver experience, helping make our mobility services in the region better every single day.
- Proven experience leading operational teams, ideally in environments with shift-based staff or frontline operations.
- Comfortable being on-site regularly (at least 3 days per week) to work closely with drivers and support day-to-day operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset when navigating operational challenges with drivers or external partners.
- A data-driven approach to problem solving, using performance metrics to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
- Motivated by fast-paced environments and excited to implement ideas that improve processes and service quality.
- German language skills at C1 level or higher and English at B2 level or higher.
- Valid Class B driver’s license.
