Key Responsibilities
* Lead multiple complex U.S. business immigration client engagements, providing strategic direction and ensuring exceptional service delivery across a diverse portfolio of multinational clients.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering practical and business-focused guidance on complex employment-based immigration matters and evolving regulatory developments.
* Interpret and translate complex immigration laws, regulations, and policy changes into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
* Develop innovative legal strategies by evaluating client objectives, business risks, industry trends, agency developments, and emerging immigration challenges.
* Build and strengthen senior-level client relationships through proactive communication, strategic counsel, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client experiences.
* Represent Vialto Law in executive-level client discussions, presentations, and strategic planning initiatives while serving as a visible ambassador of the firm's values and capabilities.
* Drive practice growth through active participation in business development activities, including client presentations, webinars, thought leadership, industry events, and proposal development.
* Identify opportunities to improve client service delivery, operational efficiency, and scalability through technology, innovation, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
* Lead, mentor, and develop attorneys and legal professionals, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment focused on engagement, development, and succession planning.
* Provide leadership and oversight on complex legal matters, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality work, sound legal judgment, and adherence to professional standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment, solve complex business challenges, and support strategic firm initiatives.
* Stay at the forefront of U.S. immigration law developments, emerging trends, and industry best practices while sharing insights with clients, colleagues, and the broader immigration community.
* Uphold Vialto Law's professional standards, ethical obligations, and commitment to delivering excellence in client service.
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
* Licensed and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
* Typically 8+ years of relevant U.S. business immigration experience, including significant experience with H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, employment-based immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status matters.
* Demonstrated success managing sophisticated corporate immigration programs and providing strategic legal counsel to multinational organizations.
* Proven experience leading client relationships, developing legal talent, and managing high-performing teams in a professional services or law firm environment.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to align immigration strategies with broader workforce and organizational objectives.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated interest in leveraging technology, innovation, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance client service delivery and operational excellence.
* Experience leading process improvement initiatives and driving organizational change within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Strong project management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
* Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.
Additional Information
* Location: U.S.-based opportunity
* Employment Type: Regular / Full Time
* Preferred Location - San Diego Office:
1420 Kettner Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92101 - Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with an expectation of 3-5 days per week in the office
* Compensation Range: $165,000-$185,000
Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, education, professional qualifications, and overall capabilities.
