Allergist - Internal Medicine, Rheumatology - M89685

The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University is searching for a full-time Adult Allergy and Immunology physician to participate in  clinical, teaching and research activities. Providers will see Patients at the Adult Outpatient  Pavilion in Downtown Richmond, VA. Successful applicants will be board certified or board eligible in Allergy/Immunology and will be expected to provide quality and timely clinical care on the inpatient and outpatient unit.

The ideal candidate must be able to develop an academic career focused primarily on patient care, but also involving teaching and clinical research as well as participation in our ACGME -accredited program in Allergy and Immunology

Provide excellent patient care in Adult Allergy and Immunology and focused areas of interest and experience in outpatient settings.  Actively participate in management of patients on Adult AI consult service

• →Other (for instance administrative duties, etc.)

Comply promptly with billing, documentation, credentialing and other administrative requirements of the department

Minimum Qualifications

• Qualified applicants for this position should have demonstrated both scholarly and clinical abilities through patient care teaching and clinical research. Candidates should be Board-certified in Allergy, Immunology, and in Internal Medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
