Minimum Qualifications

• M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree
• ABMGG certification or eligibility in either Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, or Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics dual boards is required)
• Knowledge regarding regulatory issues as they apply to the field of cytogenetics and molecular genetics
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical experience and an interest and/or ability in research and scholarly activity as displayed through publication in professional journals and presentations at national meetings.
