Responsibilities

Research: To support clinical research protocols as needed.
Service: Will be expected to participate in quality, safety and efficiency initiatives
Clinical: Will primarily be dedicated to cardiovascular preventative services.
Other (for instance administrative duties, etc.): Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical care and submission of billing in accordance with organizational policies. Comply fully with all medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
~1 min readMinimum Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease
- Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia
- Clinically oriented and possess sufficient research and teaching experience to be eligible for academic appointment
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work with a large multidisciplinary program
- Must be willing to participate in teaching and fellowship programs
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and strong interest with lipid management, hypertension, obesity, and lifestyle medicine
