Teach undergraduate courses in health services based on course needs

Develop and organize course syllabi, assignments, exams, and course content as needed.

Provide engaging and effective instruction to undergraduate students in person or online, as required.

Assess and evaluate student performance through grading of assignments, exams, and projects.
→
Hold office hours to meet with students and provide academic support.
→
Participate in BSHS meetings and maintain communication with faculty and staff as necessary.

Stay current with developments in the discipline and incorporate them into course materials and teaching methods.
→
Follow university policies and procedures in teaching, grading, and conducting academic responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline
Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and inspire students in a diverse academic environment
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Ability to commute to the College of Health Professions in Richmond, VA
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU
