~1 min readPh.D. or other terminal degree in Film Studies, Cinema Studies, Media Studies, or a related field appropriate to the position; Demonstrated record of teaching experience at the university level; Ability to teach both introductory World Cinema courses and upper-level electives in one or more areas of specialization; Experience teaching global, transnational, comparative, or non-U.S. cinema; Experience with in-person, online and asynchronous instruction; Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
