We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant with a strong background in US/Canadian Payroll configuration and support. You will play a key role in implementing, optimizing, and supporting Workday Payroll solutions for our clients.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor—guiding clients through best practices, helping them enhance their existing configurations, and ensuring smooth, compliant payroll operations across their Workday landscape.

As a member of the VR team, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.
Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis.
To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Must have Skills Required
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, including US/Canadian Payroll.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting in the Canadian/US context.
Proven experience managing payroll processes using Strada Payroll systems
Proven ability to review, analyze, and refine existing payroll configurations and processes.
Proficiency in Workday modules related to Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and time management abilities with a proven record of meeting deliverables.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to see the broader business context.
Workday Certification required
Requirements

Exposure to global payroll implementations beyond the US/Canada.
Familiarity with Workday reporting tools and business process configuration.
As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in the US/Canada, so long as you are authorised to work in the country you reside in without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
