The position

As a passionate Disability Support Workers required for direct care casual positions in the Southeast area to provide high-quality person-centred care to our clients living with a disability, empowering them to live the life of their choice.     Highly focused on person-centred care, the support you provide will assist with ensuring a safe and positive environment for our clients.

The collaboration and motivation you provide will work to ensure the care we provide is even more exceptional!

You will be an experienced Disability Support Worker supporting clients with Autism, epilepsy and behaviours of concern.   You will have excellent communication skills and build relationships easily with clients.  

What’s required

• Certificate IV in Disability
• Experience supporting clients with autism – preferred 
• Extensive experience in Disability Support and knowledge of the Disability sector
• Passion for providing ‘person centred care’
• Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to converse and relate to people with understanding, patience and sensitivity
• Strong commitment to service and care.  Team focused and supportive of colleagues 
• NDIS Check, WWC and Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate 
• Ability to work a roster weekday, weekends, morning, afternoon, and sleepover shifts.
• Current Victorian Driver’s License (desired).
