Director of Nursing (DON)

• Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or other nursing leadership experience.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, post-acute care, or senior living settings.
• Familiarity with regulatory surveys, Medicare guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.

The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services within the community. This individual is responsible for maintaining high clinical standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing nursing staff, and fostering a culture centered on quality care and resident dignity.

Working closely with physicians, department leaders, residents, and families, the DON helps drive exceptional clinical outcomes while promoting teamwork and accountability throughout the nursing department.

• →Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations and clinical services.
• →Hire, develop, mentor, and support nursing staff members.
• →Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, Medicare requirements, and HIPAA standards.
• →Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance indicators.
• →Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation within electronic health record systems.
• →Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident-centered care plans.
• →Monitor staffing effectiveness and allocate nursing resources appropriately.
• →Support infection control processes and evidence-based nursing practices.
• →Foster a positive work environment built on communication, accountability, and respect.
• →Participate in leadership on-call responsibilities.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to motivate teams and build positive working relationships.
