Machine Operator

You will operate CNC laser/plasma machines and overhead gantry cranes at our Plates Auckland site. It is a hands-on role in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment.

• →Operate CNC laser and plasma cutting machines
• →Operate overhead gantry cranes to position steel plates
• →Set up and feed product into machines for processing
• →Load and unload steel materials and finished parts
• →Monitor cut quality and maintain production standards
• →Assist with routine machine maintenance to keep machines running efficiently
• →Work safely, both independently and as part of a team

• Fibre laser machine experience is an advantage
• Overhead gantry crane experience is highly desirable
• Plasma machine experience is also valued

• Proven experience operating overhead gantry cranes (training available)
• Experience working with mild steel, plate or heavy materials
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements
• Strong understanding of machine set up and production processes
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

• A valid work visa or right to work in New Zealand
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
