Job Objective To have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Responsibilities Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner Ensure all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable Ensure periodic bank reconciliations are completed Maintain the chart of accounts Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Oversee the operations of the accounting and finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives Oversee the accounting operations of the Group, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures Issue timely and complete financial statements Coordinate the preparation of the board report Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Maintain a 6-month rolling cash flow forecast Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, bankers and tax authority Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Requirements Certified FCA Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles Knowledge of financial reporting Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finance and taxation Strong IT literacy, Microsoft Excel in particular Leadership Communication and Presentation Excellent Analytical, Reasoning and Problem-Solving Skills Efficiency and Time Management People Skills Develop and maintain effective networks with contractors and industry colleagues
