Business Operations Officer

Primary responsibilities:
● Execute and support day-to-day business operations related to e-money and payment services.
● Assist with coordination of internal and external documentation, and operational explanations.
● Support the enhancement and ongoing optimisation of internal processes, including drafting and maintaining operational procedures, guidelines, manuals, and checklists.
● Perform clients’ funds and e-money/payment operations reconciliations in line with internal control frameworks.
● Carry out BCL (Banque Centrale du Luxembourg) and CESOP reporting routines, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
● Coordinate and collaborate across teams to support operational workflows, resolve internal issues, and ensure smooth execution of company processes.
● Monitor and oversee the support function of the service, ensuring consistent communication with clients and maintaining timely follow-up on operational issues.
● Collaborate closely with team members and cross-departmental colleagues to identify issues on Support function, escalate where necessary, and support resolution.
Requirements
~1 min read● University degree in Finance, Economics, Management or similar
● Strong analytical skills and ability to work with financial data and reconciliations
● Good knowledge of Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
● High level of accuracy and attention to detail
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
● Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
● Clear communication skills and ability to explain operational topics
● Professional attitude, integrity and reliability
● Fluent in English (German and/or French is a strong advantage)
Nice to have:
● Experience in payments / fintech / regulated environment
● Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g. CESOP, BCL)
● Familiarity with internal controls / ISO / DORA (Certified DORA Practitioner certification is a strong advantage.
