Full Stack Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our team!

We are looking for a Senior Developer who combines strong Java and/or C#/.NET engineering fundamentals with an AI-first development mindset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support modern web applications, APIs, services, and internal development tools
• Develop applications using Java, C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SQL Server, and Azure technologies
• Use AI-assisted development as a standard part of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and code review
• Design and build AI-powered developer tools, agents, utilities, and reusable workflows that automate repetitive engineering tasks and improve developer productivity
• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, performance, and architectural consistency rather than accepting generated code without appropriate engineering review
• Identify opportunities where AI and automation can reduce development time, improve software quality, accelerate testing, or simplify business processes
• Design and develop REST APIs, microservices, integrations, Azure Functions, and other service-based components
• Design scalable solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, and related cloud technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, database, and production issues and use modern development and AI tools to accelerate root-cause analysis and resolution
• Work with project managers, business analysts, product owners, QA, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Take ownership of software quality by creating appropriate unit, integration, API, and automated testing for developed solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and intermediate developers.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development standards related to architecture, maintainability, security, testing, and performance
• Work effectively across multiple projects and business priorities simultaneously

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated experience operating at a Senior Developer level
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent education and professional experience
• Strong professional development experience with Java
• Experience with C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core
• Experience with modern Java development environments and tooling, including IntelliJ IDEA and JDK distributions such as Amazon Corretto
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development, dependency injection, asynchronous programming, API design, design patterns, and modern application architecture
• Strong experience developing REST-based APIs and web services
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or other cloud-based application development
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design
• Experience with modern source-control and collaborative development practices using Git, GitHub, and/or Azure DevOps
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers
• Experience working on multiple projects or business initiatives simultaneously

• Java Development: Java/JDK, Amazon Corretto, IntelliJ IDEA, REST services, microservices
• Microsoft Development: C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, Visual Studio 2022+, Visual Studio Code
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights
• AI Development: Claude / Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT / OpenAI, Cursor or comparable AI-assisted development platforms, LLM APIs, AI agents, prompt/context engineering, and development automation
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL; PostgreSQL, Aurora or MySQL experience is beneficial
• API Development & Testing: REST APIs, JSON, Postman, OpenAPI / Swagger
• Development Tools: IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio 2022+, Visual Studio Code, JetBrains Rider or comparable modern development environments
• Source Control / DevOps: Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
• Architecture: REST services, microservices, distributed systems, dependency injection, cloud architecture, integration architecture, relational database design

Estimated Compensation Range: $90,000/year-$150,000/year*

*Published ranges are estimates. Offered compensation will be based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location. In addition, starting salary may vary by position depending on whether the position is in-office, hybrid or remote.
