Full-Time Transfer Station Attendant

Shift is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, overtime opportunities often

Starting wage is $34.98/hour with an increase to $36.20/hour at 6-months pending a positive performance review.

• →Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.
• →Safely and efficiently operate forklift, backhoe, and/or front-end loader.
• →May run errands using company vehicle as needed.
• →Measure trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
• →Track measurement information in computer system.
• →Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
• →Work on your feet outside throughout your shift.
• →Assisting with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed.
• →Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• →Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• →Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• →Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to operate a company motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Must be dependable with an ability to lead.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
• This is a physical job working in a covered area as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• To be eligible for employment, candidate must pass a criminal background check, & drug panel screening as well as have an acceptable motor vehicle report.
