→Perform preventive maintenance services and mechanical repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment
→Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
→Utilize vehicle computer and diagnostic systems to identify failure modes and initiate repairs
→Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards
→Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
→Complete accurate documentation using fleet maintenance software, including parts usage and labor time
→Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns as needed
→Communicate clearly with supervisors and drivers regarding required repairs and vehicle status
→Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
→Perform additional maintenance‑related tasks as assigned
→Welding experience preferred but not required

1+ year of experience in heavy truck or diesel equipment maintenance and repair
OR completion of an accredited vocational or technical diesel program
CDL Class A or B is preferred, but not required at time of hire
- Ability to obtain CDL within 90 days (on‑the‑job CDL paid training available)
Must supply personal mechanical tools and toolbox
- Shop‑provided onsite tools also available
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and communicate effectively
