Responsibilities

→Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers, including brakes, suspension, air systems, electrical wiring, lighting, doors, floors, frames, and landing gear
→Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers
→Complete necessary repairs identified through Daily Inspection Reports
→Power wash trailers and equipment as part of routine maintenance
→Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service as needed within the MRF
→Conduct safety checks to ensure trailers meet company and regulatory standards
→Accurately complete work orders and required documentation using maintenance software
→Maintain a clean and organized work area
→Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations
→Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Prior experience as a trailer mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic preferred
Knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and DOT requirements
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
