Yellow Iron Mechanic

📍 Location: Heart of Florida Landfill – Lake Panasoffkee, FL
🕡 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Saturdays as needed
💰 Pay:$35-$45 hour DOE

• →Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.
• →Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• →Work with a fleet of yellow iron equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
• →Operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers. (Compactor experience is a plus!)
• →Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and yellow iron equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate technical service information.
• CDL preferred (but not required at time of hire).
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
