Waste Pro is hiring an experienced CDL Roll-Off Driver to join our Pompano Beach team!
If you have a Class A or B CDL, enjoy working independently, and have experience operating commercial vehicles, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values safety, performance, and professional drivers.
Our Roll-Off Drivers service commercial, industrial, and construction customers by delivering, picking up, exchanging, and emptying large roll-off containers throughout the local area.
Responsibilities
~4 min read- → Safely operate a roll-off truck on local routes throughout the Pompano Beach area
• Deliver, pick up, exchange, and empty roll-off containers at customer locations
• Secure containers by attaching the hook and using truck controls to safely load containers onto the truck
• Properly secure and tarp containers before transport
• Safely operate hydraulic, lift, and roll-off equipment
• Navigate commercial properties, construction sites, and other customer locations
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers
• Communicate with Dispatch, supervisors, Customer Service, and Sales as needed
• Complete required daily paperwork and service documentation
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete daily DVIR and Safety Lane requirements
• Inspect the truck, including fluid levels, tires, undercarriage, and under-hood components
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional-looking vehicle
• Follow Waste Pro safety procedures and all applicable DOT requirements
What we are looking for
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Acceptable driving record
• Commercial driving experience
• Roll-off experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and safe commercial vehicle operation
• Ability to safely operate hydraulic and roll-off equipment
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to maintain required driving and service records
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, Dispatch, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand highway signs and traffic signals and complete required paperwork

• Push or pull up to 50 pounds independently (unassisted) approximately 25–50 times per day
• Lift up to 50 pounds independently (unassisted) from ground level to waist height approximately 25–50 times per day
• Get in and out of the cab of a commercial motor vehicle approximately 30–50 times per day
• Lift up to 100 pounds with assistance approximately 20–30 times per day
• Bend at the waist and knees approximately 120–150 times per day
• Reach overhead with a reaching pole and pull down using approximately 20 pounds of force to secure a tarp
• Climb up to 8 feet in height to deploy a 25-pound tarp
• Work 8–12-hour shifts in varying and extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

This position works in a variety of environmental conditions and may be exposed to temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind. The work environment may also include noise, vibration, fumes, odors, and dust.
