Lead Production. Own Compliance. Set the Standard.
In asbestos abatement, there is no gray area.
But this role isn’t just about following rules — it’s about leading crews, controlling production, and delivering clean, inspection-ready jobs every time.
We’re looking for a Production Manager who can:
- Lead crews with authority
- Execute work efficiently without sacrificing compliance
- Catch problems early and solve them fast
- Take pride in running tight, professional jobs
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to operate at a high level in the field.
The Role
As Abatement Production Manager, you are responsible for field execution, crew performance, and compliance across all abatement projects.
You ensure:
- Jobs are compliant, contained, and inspection-ready
- Crews perform safely, efficiently, and consistently
- Documentation is accurate and audit-ready
- Production stays on track and under control
You are the standard setter in the field — where expectations become reality.
What You’ll Own
Field Execution & Compliance
- Oversee containment setup, negative air systems, and decontamination procedures
- Ensure full compliance with EPA NESHAP, OSHA 1926.1101, NMED, and local requirements
- Conduct job hazard analysis and review asbestos surveys
Crew Leadership
- Lead and manage abatement technicians
- Set clear daily expectations and hold crews accountable
- Train and develop team members on safety, quality, and performance
Production Performance & Accountability
- Run multiple jobs with control over execution and timelines
- Monitor labor efficiency and field productivity
- Identify and solve production issues before they impact schedule or cost
Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and job documentation
- Ensure every job is inspection-ready at all times
- Enforce quality and compliance standards without exception
Operational Coordination
- Work with leadership on scheduling and job planning
- Support smooth transitions into reconstruction phases
What Success Looks Like
You are successful when:
- Jobs pass inspection with zero compliance issues
- Crews operate safely, efficiently, and without constant oversight
- Documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
- Production runs smoothly and predictably
- Problems are solved early — not escalated late
You don’t just run jobs — you control outcomes.
What You Bring
Required:
- Current Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Certification (40-hour)
- GS-29 (or ability to meet requirements immediately)
- 3–5+ years in asbestos abatement or environmental services
- Experience leading field crews and enforcing safety compliance
- Strong working knowledge of EPA NESHAP, OSHA 1926.1101, and NMED
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and maintain control of execution
Preferred:
- Experience coordinating multiple crews or job sites
- Strong organizational and documentation discipline
- Experience working alongside restoration or construction teams
Who This Is NOT For
This role is not for you if:
- You cut corners on compliance or safety
- You avoid holding crews accountable
- You wait for direction instead of leading
- You prefer observing over owning outcomes
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary + performance incentives tied to production and team performance
- Company vehicle or allowance
- Medical, Dental, Vision
- 401(k)
- Paid Time Off
- Paid certifications and ongoing development
Growth Opportunity
This role is built for someone who wants to:
- Become a top-level field leader in a high-performance environment
- Gain influence over production standards and execution
- Grow into higher-level operational leadership as the company scales
