Modification Technician - Portland OR

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

• →Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
• →Deliver finished product to designated shipping area
• →Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• →Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.
• →Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE
• →Complete daily equipment operation checklists
• →Complete daily cleaning assignments

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

• Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred
• Understand and follow safety procedures
• Strong mechanical assembly experience
• Ability to understand and follow written procedures
• Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications
• Forklift operation experience preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software
• SAP and other business software experience is preferred
• Ability to complete assigned modification jobs without assistance
• Ability to follow test equipment procedures and interpret test results
• Ability to identify physical nonconformities on AC motors
• Knowledge to properly identify materials & components for modifications
• Ability to assist fellow technicians on modifications

Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of related experience
