Modification Technician - Romeoville IL

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Romeoville, IL. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

• →Modify electric motors per customer specification.
• →Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
• →Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues.
• →Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
• →Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory.
• →Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors.
• Ability to handle manual and power tools.
• Understand and follow safety procedures.
• Familiar with modification procedures.
• Familiar with the inventory control system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• 0 - 5 years of related experience.
