Welch’s is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician for our Lawton plant. You will install, maintain, and repair the electrical and control systems that keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, solving problems, and making a direct impact on plant performance.
Our Lawton plant operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You must be able to work first, second, or third shift based on plant needs. Second- and third-shift employees receive additional shift pay.
Responsibilities

Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and control equipment

Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers, including PLC ladder logic
- →
Diagnose problems involving electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, motion controls, and mechanical systems
- →
Read and use electrical wiring diagrams, construction drawings, and schematics
- →
Install conduit, wiring, control panels, control wiring, and motor control centers
- →
Install and repair sensors, photoelectric equipment, proximity switches, and other automatic control devices
- →
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and electronic circuits
- →
Complete preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and controls
- →
Support plant improvement projects and help reduce equipment downtime

Follow all plant safety, food safety, and maintenance procedures

Two or more years of manufacturing experience, or relevant trade school training

A high school diploma or GED

Formal training in electrical systems, instrumentation, or process controls

Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and PLC systems

The ability to safely work on and around complex, automated equipment

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation
Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
Applicants must successfully complete Welch’s standard maintenance and electrical testing.
