Welch's is looking for a Manager, Procurement Technology & Intelligence to join our Strategic Sourcing team. This role will establish and lead a new capability focused on procurement technology, data, process ownership, and intelligence.
ERP implementation has created an ongoing need for dedicated ownership at the intersection of Procurement, process, data, and technology. This role will stabilize procure-to-pay and selected PL2P processes, improve procurement data, and help the Strategic Sourcing team turn information into actionable savings, supplier, risk, and compliance insights.
This individual contributor will architect Welch's Procurement Control Tower, including responsible use of artificial intelligence and automation to reduce manual monitoring and identify exceptions, risks, and opportunities. The role will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing. It establishes a new capability focused on technology, data, and process ownership rather supplier category management
This role is based at our headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts, and follows a hybrid schedule, with three days in the office and remote flexibility on Thursdays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Own post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement of procure-to-pay and selected PL2P processes, including governance, controls, performance measures, and issue resolution
- →Serve as the primary Procurement liaison to IT and ERP support teams, translating business needs into prioritized technology requirements, enhancements, and release plans
- →Act as the business process owner for procurement workflows, roles, approvals, access, controls, documentation, and system-enabled ways of working
- →Improve the quality, consistency, and usability of spend, supplier, agreement, purchase order, and invoice data through clear standards, ownership, and remediation plans
- →Develop scalable analytics that identify savings opportunities, price dispersion, fragmented spend, supplier performance trends, compliance gaps, and emerging risks
- →Architect and implement a Procurement Control Tower that integrates data and insights across ERP and other procurement systems
- →Apply responsible artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and exception-based monitoring, with appropriate human oversight, security, data governance, and internal controls
- →Build dashboards, alerts, and exception workflows that reduce manual monitoring and help teams act quickly on issues and opportunities
- →Partner with Strategic Sourcing managers to define high-value use cases, validate insights, and embed technology and analytics into category strategies and value-creation pipelines
- →Lead business testing, user acceptance, training, adoption, hypercare, root-cause analysis, and change communications for procurement technology and process improvements
- →Evaluate procurement technology solutions and partners, maintain a practical capability roadmap, and measure adoption, control effectiveness, efficiency, and business value
- A systems thinker who understands how procurement processes, data, controls, and technology work together
- An effective translator who can turn business needs into clear technology requirements and explain technical decisions in practical terms
- Analytical and curious, with the ability to move from data to insight, recommendation, and action

- A disciplined process owner who values governance, data quality, documentation, controls, and sustainable adoption
- A collaborative partner who can influence across Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Legal, and other functions without direct authority
- Comfortable balancing immediate stabilization needs with a longer-term procurement technology and intelligence roadmap

What We Offer
~1 min readThe anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and represents Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
