We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support and optimize Welch’s warehousing and logistics operations. This role is responsible for day-to-day warehouse administration in partnership with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), while also contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance operational performance, cost efficiency, and service levels.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on execution, values clear communication, and enjoys managing multiple priorities within established direction. This role will be based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.
Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead end-to-end warehouse operations with 3PL partners, including inventory management, storage, distribution, reporting, and financial performance
- →Own warehouse performance through KPI management (inventory accuracy, FEFO compliance, shipping accuracy, defect rates, fill rate), including daily/weekly operations calls and monthly reviews with 3PL leadership
- →Analyze warehouse and shipping performance to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions that improve service levels and reduce defects
- →Optimize inventory flow and positioning across warehouses, co-manufacturers, and offsite storage to meet customer demand while minimizing cost
- →Partner with Food Safety & Quality to manage product lifecycle decisions (release, donation, destruction) and reduce aging or unsaleable inventory
- →Serve as the primary liaison between 3PL providers and internal teams (Customer Operations, Planning, Transportation, Manufacturing, FSQ), ensuring alignment and execution of priorities
- →Own pallet program management (CHEP), including transaction tracking, reconciliation, GLID maintenance, and annual audit execution
- →Identify and deliver cost savings and productivity improvements across warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, storage, and handling
- →Support budgeting and forecasting through spend tracking, variance analysis, and identification of key cost drivers
- →Improve inventory accuracy through reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory, and book-to-book processes across the network
- →Support customer deduction reduction efforts (e.g., bad pallets, detention, accessorials) in partnership with Finance and Operations
- →Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure consistent and controlled warehouse processes
- →Drive system accuracy and reporting improvements within ERP systems (Infor or similar), including development of dashboards and scorecards
- →Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis and process optimization
- →Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across warehouse operations
- →Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve supply chain performance
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, and order fulfillment, with the ability to navigate cross-functional dependencies
- Highly analytical and resourceful, leveraging systems, tools, and data to drive insights, improve processes, and support decision-making

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead or support initiatives from planning through execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain roles, with exposure to operational execution and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively.
- Working knowledge of Infor ERP or similar enterprise systems (preferred).
- Experience supporting the development and maintenance of KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting related to cost, service, and carrier performance.
- Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to projects, meetings, and cross-functional initiatives, taking ownership of assigned workstreams with guidance as needed.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) is a plus.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
