Part-Time After-School Nanny/Companion – New York, NY

A loving family in the Upper East Side (10028) is seeking a dependable, engaging part-time nanny to care for their 5-year-old child starting Pre-K. The role involves picking up from school, walking home, and providing engaging companionship until parents arrive home.

• - Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• - 15 hours per week guaranteed
• - Start Date: September 7, 2026
• - Opportunity for additional hours on school release days and weekend babysitting (if interested)

• - Care to be provided for 5-year-old starting Pre-K (Second toddler child in daycare and will not need care)
• - Neighborhood walkability: School is 0.7 miles from home (~15-minute walk)
• - Warm, interactive household environment that values creative, screen-free learning and engagement

• →- Safely pick up the child from school at 3:00 PM and walk home (0.7 miles / 15 minutes)
• →- Provide attentive care and general companionship at home until parents return at 6:00 PM
• →- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities and simple arts & crafts (materials provided at home)
• →- Drop off and pick up for after-school activities within walking distance, such as local dance classes (as schedule is finalized)

• - Proven experience in childcare, nanny, or early childhood companion roles
• - Ability to safely walk 0.7 miles (approx. 15 minutes) twice daily in urban conditions
• - Punctual, trustworthy, and safety-conscious
