About the Role
~1 min readWellways is excited to offer the position of Support Worker, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our participants with daily activities.
In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising. This role requires you will work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.
Support Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised support to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management. An essential element of your role is that you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience
- Must have full driver's license and have access to their own vehicle
- Preferred applicants with flexible availability and willingness to do sleepover shifts/work weekends/early morning shifts/broken shifts
- Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
