For our team we are looking for a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) Engineer/Planner
who will be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily flight activities upload into maintenance tracking tool;
- Planning of the upcoming maintenance;
- Prepare and distribute required work orders / work packages for maintenance;
- Review returned work packages performed for completeness and proper sign off;
- Proper storage of all records (operational and maintenance) (hardcopy & electronic);
- Be the direct point of contact with the maintenance staff;
- Review maintenance forecasts for the long term planning and issue maintenance recommendations to CAM;
- Review and analysis of mandatory data, such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc;
- Review and analysis of information data, such as Service Letters Informational Letters, etc., and if applicable manage the internal distribution;
- Reading and understanding of manufacturers technical documentation;
- Evaluate technical standards in particular for repairs, modifications and alternate parts;
- When deemed necessary check at the maintenance facilities on any aspect of the contracted work to fulfil CAMO responsibility for the airworthiness of the aircraft;
- Ensure that recommendations from audits carried out by the responsible persons, the CAM and by and/or on behalf of the customer are processed, followed up, and communicated back to the 'customer' in an appropriate manner.
- Must be willing to travel.
Minimum requirements:
- Aeronautical background (other qualifications and certificates will be considered as a plus).
- Previous experience as CAMO Planner on the Airbus H225 or 332.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different stakeholders and teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs and work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Planning skills.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken. (Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese will be an advantage).
- Microsoft Office package knowledge.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, critical analysis and team player.
- Held of a valid driving license.
- Held of a valid passport for travelling.
- Availability to work out of the standard weekly time (weekends and/or holidays period).
- Availability to travel for work purposes.
Recommendations:
- Understanding of EASA regulation and standards that apply to aircraft operations and maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Human Factors certification considered a plus.
