Essential Functions:

The statements below are intended to describe the principal duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities.

• →Dust mops, sweeps, wet mops, spray-buffs, strips and refinishes floors
• →Vacuums, spot cleans, shampoos carpeting
• →Scrubs and cleans restroom fixtures and keeps restrooms supplied with soap and paper supplies
• →Dusts, cleans, washes walls, doors, windows, woodwork and other above floor surfaces
• →Removes trash from receptacles
• →Sets up rooms for conferences, lectures, and special events
• →Moves furniture
• →Notifies immediate supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement
• →Performs related work as required and instructed
• →Assists with set up of tables and chairs for events
• →Lock up college facilities
• →Performs deep cleaning activities as necessary
• →May assist with painting during breaks

Job Requirements:

• Ability to adhere to departmental operating and safety procedures
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
• Ability to operate campus vehicle
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instruction in the conduct of the job
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, fellow workers, and customers
• Ability work overtime when required
