As a Senior Associate / Associate Director, you will join Westpac’s Corporate Solutions team in Melbourne or Sydney. You will advise and execute interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives for a portfolio of leading Corporate and Institutional clients, supporting the origination and delivery of tailored hedging solutions, with increasing responsibility for client outcomes, to help manage interest rate, foreign exchange and inflation risks. The role will involve structuring, pricing and executing both vanilla and more complex or bespoke derivative transactions.

You will build strong, trusted relationships through deep client understanding, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver value and deepen engagement.

You will work closely with Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate and Corporate FX teams to deliver integrated financial markets solutions across client transactions.

 

  • Experience in financial markets, derivatives or corporate finance, ideally in a client-facing or advisory capacity
  • Strong understanding of risk management concepts and derivative products
  • Ability to structure and execute transactions, with sound commercial judgement
  • Proven ability to build relationships and operate as a trusted adviser to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with or alongside Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate or financing teams (preferred)
  • Relevant education and professional accreditation, including AFMA (preferred).
