Weyerhaeuser Salt Lake City Distribution Center is currently seeking a Forklift Operations Associate. Under the direction of the Site Operations Manager and designated leaders, this position is responsible for all activities associated with the movement and handling of materials related to the wood products yard/warehouse.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. We currently have openings on both day shift and night shift. Day shift hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and night shift hours are 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Night shift will receive a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stations.
Safely load and unload products from various trailers and rail cars
Safely do your job to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
Courage to intervene in any unsafe practices.
Accurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplying
Accurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activities
Develop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.
Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.

This is not an inside warehouse position. This role will perform manual labor 55 - 65% of the time.

→Must be able work outside in the elements five days a week and occasional Saturdays depending on business needs
→Must comply with all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
→Ability to work on a computer.
→Ability to work cohesively in a team environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
