Director of Athletic Recruitment & Student Success

Wilkes University invites applications for a Director of Athletic Recruitment & Student Success. This strategic position will lead efforts to recruit, enroll, and support student-athletes across the University's NCAA Division III athletic programs.

Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director will partner closely with Athletics, Undergraduate and Graduate Admission, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and other campus offices to strengthen the student-athlete experience from initial recruitment through enrollment, transition, academic progress, and persistence.

The Director will develop and implement a comprehensive, data-informed athletic recruitment strategy aligned with University enrollment goals. Responsibilities include supporting coaches with recruitment planning and best practices; monitoring recruitment pipelines and enrollment outcomes; analyzing data to identify opportunities for growth; coordinating recruitment outreach, visits, camps, and events; and helping increase qualified inquiries, applications, deposits, and enrollment of prospective student-athletes.

This role will also help develop proactive strategies and programs that support student-athlete transition, academic success, and retention. The successful candidate will work with coaches, academic advisors, faculty, and campus partners to identify student-athletes who may benefit from additional academic, financial, personal, or campus support and connect them with appropriate resources.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and experience in college admission, enrollment management, athletics, athletic recruitment, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, relationship-building, and project-management skills are essential. Experience with NCAA Division III athletics, Slate and Teamworks CRM systems, recruitment technology, enrollment data, or student success initiatives is preferred. A master's degree is also preferred. This campus-based position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends in support of recruitment events and athletic activities, as well as periodic travel.
