Requirements
~1 min readPrevious experience as a deckhand on commercially operated vessels.
Small boat experience
Customer facing experience
Work proactively in a small team
Communicate effectively
Able to follow instructions
Use own initiative
Positive can-do attitude
Execute safe working practices and environmental protection
Maintain good housekeeping (clean, tidy and organised)
Competent with ropework, mooring, bunkering, watchkeeping and vessel planned maintenance.
Experience with the operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and ancillary systems.
Able and willing to work from any site in UK and Europe
Right to work in the UK
Passport – must be valid for travel to the UK and EU
STCW basic safety training certificates (preferably not older than 4 years):
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting STCW A-VI/1-2
Elementary First Aid STCW A-VI/1-3
Personal Survival Techniques STCW A-VI/1-1
Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities STCW A-VI/1-4
ENG1 Seafarer medical – Fit for lookout duties must be ticked Yes
MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC1)
Desirable:
Navigational Watch Rating Certificate II/4 (Deck)
Current UK driving license
Discharge book
Slinger Signaller course (preferably not older than 3 years)
Automatic External Defibrillator training (AED)
VHF Short Range Radio
