As Senior Bookkeeper, you'll take the reins on a portfolio of Australian clients. You'll build trusted relationships, provide meaningful financial insights, and help clients feel confident that their finances are in safe hands. This is more than a bookkeeping role—it's an opportunity to lead by example, support and mentor the team, and contribute to continuously improving the way we deliver exceptional service. We're after someone with deep bookkeeping expertise, sharp organisational instincts, and the confidence to lead, someone who takes pride in getting the details exactly right.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. Record transactions, reconcile accounts, and keep ledgers pristine
- →Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that clients can rely on and act on
- →Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- →Oversee payroll processing end-to-end, keeping everything compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including payroll taxes and long service leave calculations.
- →Manage accounts payable and receivable, from invoicing through to collections
- →Be the trusted, go-to contact for clients. Answering questions and offering financial insights they actually value
- →Work confidently in Xero to manage financial data and generate reports
- →Stay ahead of changes in accounting standards and regulations, so our clients always stay compliant
- 6+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience, ideally within a public practice environment
- A rock-solid grasp of bookkeeping principles and best practice
- NDIS Invoicing and payroll experience highly regarded
- Sharp organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Confident, hands-on experience with Xero
- A genuinely high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication
- Just as comfortable working independently and supporting a team
