Intermediate Accountant - Acumon

The Intermediate Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to our clients. This position involves preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Australian accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

• → Processing annual financial statements for companies and trusts.
• → Preparing income tax returns and Business Activity Statements.
• → Assisting with payroll services.
• → Contributing to Tax Planning Figures and Analysis.
• → Handling ATO client correspondence and queries.
• → Staying updated on tax law changes and anticipating new ones through tax research.
• → Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial reports.
• → Continuously improving accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• → Participating in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

• 2-4 years of experience in Australian public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Desire to grow an existing client base.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
