About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a General Ledger Accountant for our Financial Shared Services Center in Putzbrunn near Munich.
In this role, you will be responsible for accounting activities for our German entities and will also support international projects with your payroll expertise.
The position is based in Putzbrunn near Munich, with the option of hybrid working agreement.
Responsibilities

- →Execution of general ledger accounting activities, including posting monthly payroll data from HR/payroll systems and external service providers
- →Preparation and reconciliation of account reconciliations (e.g. salary expenses, liabilities, social security and tax accounts)
- →Calculation and posting of accruals (e.g. pensions, vacation accruals, variable compensation)
- →Support in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP
- →Analysis of variances in the payroll area and preparation of commentary for Finance and Management
- →Close collaboration with HR, Total Rewards and external advisors on payroll-related processes
- →Ensuring audit-compliant processes in accounting, tax and internal policy areas
- →Support of internal and external audits by providing documentation, analyses and explanations
- →Participation in the continuous improvement of payroll accounting processes

Requirements
~2 min read- Completed degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable commercial qualification / professional certification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance or general ledger accounting
- Solid knowledge of accounting (German GAAP/HGB; payroll required)
- Strong hands-on mentality, initiative, as well as team spirit and service orientation
- Positive attitude and enjoyment of working in an international, collaborative environment
- Proficient in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills, as well as experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA), Power BI, and TM1
- Good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
- SAP (S4 Hana), PowerBI
