Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred 5+ years of experience in the textile or apparel industry, with exposure to end‑to‑end supply chain functions including planning, procurement, production, and product development.
We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our APAC Sitka® Supply Chain Team in Shenzhen who will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process including the materials planning, order placement, bulk inspection, shipment arrangement, goods receiving and timely payments to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
The ideal candidate combines advanced analytical capabilities with strong supply chain expertise and business acumen, and has hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets and ERP and PLM systems across merchandising, planning, sourcing, production, and logistics.
This position operates in a fast‑paced, multi-seasonal environment, supporting Sitka®, a premium apparel brand within Gore Fabrics.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Responsible for full merchandising duties from materials planning to salesman sample and bulk order delivery
- →Coordinate with vendors on production planning and capacity alignment
- →Create, review, and release purchase orders aligned with approved cost, MOQ, and delivery terms
- →Track PO status from order placement through production, shipment, and final delivery to ensure suppliers meet confirmed production milestones and delivery dates
- →Resolve production or quality risks proactively and escalate issues where required
- →Manage enquiries and day‑to‑day coordination with fabric mills, garment suppliers, third‑party inspection agencies, and third‑party logistics providers
- →Handle merchandising‑related documentation, issue shipping instructions, track shipment progress and payment status
- →Partners with Product Development, Demand Planning, Sourcing, Compliance and Quality teams to resolve fabric, trims, capacity, or quality issues including data discrepancy.
- →Provide support in onboarding new suppliers and supplier performance review and liaise with suppliers to carry out corrective action in the assigned factory
Requirements
~1 min read- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in the textile or apparel industry, with exposure to end‑to‑end supply chain functions including planning, procurement, production, and product development.
- Experience in sample development/production follow up and with direct factory production exposure
- Proficiency in ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or PLM (e.g., Centric) platforms
- Excellent negotiation skills with strong stakeholder communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently to drive initiatives, prioritize and multi-task, while maintaining a positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
- Nice to have experience in POWR BI and analytics supporting supply chain data will be an advantage
- Travel required 3-5% but not frequently
Requirements
