Woodard & Curran is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of our water and wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations in LaBelle, Florida. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment, vehicles, and systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
The Maintenance Technician performs routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities across a wide range of mechanical equipment and infrastructure, working closely with site leadership to meet operational goals.
The role requires availability for weekend or holiday work, on‑call rotations, and emergency response as needed. A company‑provided phone will be issued.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience maintaining equipment used in water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, collection systems, chemical feed systems, and landscape maintenance equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read meters, gauges, drawings, panels, and other technical materials.
- Basic proficiency in reading, math, writing, and verbal communication.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Willingness to work varied schedules and respond to emergencies as required.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.
