Scribe (Bilingual Spanish)

Description

Assist Physician with documentation of the patient's medical record

• →The scribe documents any procedures that may be performed by the physician or ophthalmic medical personnel.
• →The scribe accompanies the physician into the exam room to transcribe the history and examination as given by the patient and the physician.
• →Triages patients appropriately based on appointment time and acuity of problem prepares patient for doctor and maintains smooth, efficient flow throughout clinic
• →Take dictation and document medicals while physician is examining patient
• →Write out necessary prescriptions
• →Administer drops and give injections under physician supervision
• →When help is needed at front desk, answer phones and make appointments
• →Triages patients appropriately based on appointment time and acuity of problem prepares patient for doctor and maintains smooth, efficient flow throughout clinic

Requirements

• →High school diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of Ophthalmology experience
• →Strong organizational skills
• →Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• →Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word and other Software Packages
• →Flexibility (may require some early mornings and evenings)
