Overview:

Join Quinnipiac University’s  growing Honors Program as an Honors Program Operations Specialist. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a key partner in supporting the academic success and educational experience of these talented students.

The Honors Program Operations Specialist oversees critical student academic processes and collaborates with academic departments and administrative offices across the university to ensure a seamless student experience. This position advises Honors Program leadership on student services policies, procedures, assessment, and operational best practices while managing the program’s student records and database systems. Responsibilities include coordinating student matriculation and graduation processes, conducting academic audits, monitoring GPA standards, generating reports, and supporting student success initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of student degree tracks, working directly with students and the Honors Program directors, to increase the Honors Program's contribution to student success
  • Responsible for providing yearly reports, tracking student degree progress and retention, creating surveys, and analyzing data
  • Advise and mentor Honors students on class schedules, progress, and graduation requirements in the Honors Program
  • Communicate and coordinate with academic advising across academic units and implement mentoring programs to meet individualized academic needs of honors students
  • Promote pathways that broaden access to honors opportunities for academically talented students with different talents, academic and professional goals, and backgrounds
  • Cultivate relationships with campus partners, alumni, donors, employers, and community organizations to expand opportunities for students
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred in a field of professional qualification is highly desired
Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of experience in administering and organizing curricular programming
  • Commitment to student success and evidence of effective mentoring/advising of undergraduate students
  • A passion for working with and contributing to the development of high-achieving students commitment to access and commitment to the development of an exemplary program
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Experience analyzing  data, generating reports, with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
